F. W. Woolworth & CO. (Cyprus) Ltd, announces that the CSE Board approved its petition to suspend the trades that regard Company titles for a week (from 23-27 August 1999, the two days included) in order to help the Brokers finish up the paper work.
The Company's decision to petition the CSE Board was necessary to avoid mistakes over the distribution of the 1998 dividend to the actual beneficiaries, mistakes that were likely due to the huge volume of Company titles that are traded and due to the delay in the paper work.
The Company believes that the decision to temporarily suspend the trades of its titles will help ameliorate the problem that was recently created and that certainly does not just involve our Company.
