PwC Cyprus strengthens its team

Andreas Theodosiou, Minos Georgakis, Thomas Petrou, Olivia Matheou, Polyvios Dionysiou and Nayia Ziourti assume duties

PwC Cyprus supports its clients by offering services that will help them capture market opportunities. In this context, the organisation announces the appointment of Mr Andreas Theodosiou and Mr Minos Georgakis as Directors as well as Mr Thomas Petrou as a Senior Manager of the Technology Advisory Department. In addition, Mrs Olivia Matheou and Mr Polyvios Dionysiou were appointed as Senior Managers of the Tax Advisory and Advisory departments respectively. Mrs Nayia Ziourti was appointed as Director at S.A. Evangelou & CO LLC, full member firm of the PwC network.

Andreas Theodosiou has more than 25 years of experience in designing, managing, and implementing large-scale IT projects in the banking sector as well as in banking technology providers. In the past, he has worked as asoftware Development Manager at a bank andas Professional Services Associate Partner at NCR where he also led an initiative, establishing the MEA Centre of Excellence for the adoption of digital strategy on physical channels.

Out of his 19 years of career experience, Minos Georgakis gained industry knowledge in the area of Government, Healthcare, Banking and Utilities. Before joining PwC, he worked for IBM Italia (Cyprus Branch), where he held the role of Territory Sales Representative. Minos will help our clients address their most complex business issues from strategy through execution.

Thomas Petrou has more than 18 years of experience working with technology in business settings, offering deep technical involvement, leading teams, managing projects & programs, as well as implementing and selling IT enabled solutions in many industries in Cyprus and abroad. He began his career in PwC Consulting in London. He returned back to Cyprus and worked at Axiom Consulting as IT Consultant, at NCR where he held multiple positions in Professional Services and at New Cytech Business Solutions as a Business Development Manager.

Olivia Matheou is an international tax advisor with more than 10 years of professional experience in firms in three different markets: Cyprus, the Middle East and Australia. She specialises in international and M&A tax and has advised multinational businesses on tax structuring their cross-border transactions. She started her career at Deloitte Cyprus, after which she transferred to Deloitte LLP in Dubai. She then moved to PwC Sydney, where she worked as a Senior Manager in Global Tax team.

Polyvios Dionysiou is an experienced strategy consultant with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare sector. Prior to joining PwC, Polyvios lived in London where he worked in the Strategy practice of PA Consulting Group and subsequently in the Strategy group of KPMG UK, where he worked as Associate Director leading KPMG's healthcare modelling team. Over the past decade, he worked with a diverse mix of NHS organisations, advising them on a range of strategic and operational matters. More recently, he advised the State Health Services Organisation (SHSO) of Cyprus regarding the financial plans of the public hospitals going through autonomisation.

Nayia Ziourti after completing her studies and qualifying as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Cyprus she acquired the Advanced Certification of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission where she worked for 8 years. Prior to joining CySEC, Nayia worked for several years at well-established law firms focusing on areas of corporate law, banking and finance. Nayia has an expertise in the Funds industry as well as MiFID II-regulated entities.
