Moody’s confirms RCB Bank’s stable financial position

14/06/2019 10:51

Moody’s Investors Service has published an updated semi-annual credit opinion on RCB, where it confirms the Bank’s stable financial position in terms of capital and liquidity.

According to an RCB press release, the Bank has long term deposit ratings at B1 level with stable outlook – the highest rating among Cypriot banks.

The rating agency in the credit opinion highlighted strong asset quality, low level of problem loans and high level of capital adequacy ratios of RCB Bank.

Moody’s views that material strengthening in the domestic standalone franchise of the Bank, as well as maintenance of strong asset quality and capitalization could lead to an upgrade. RCB Bank`s domestic franchise should continue to gradually grow, with its 2019-2023 strategy envisioning expansion of its domestic operations, loans and deposits.
