Cyprus recorded the highest rate of deflation among EU countries in July 2015, according to Eurostat data.
According to the figures, inflation in Cyprus was -2.4% in July 2015 from -2.1% in June 2015 and 0.9% in July 2014.
Prices fell in ten other countries as well while they remained stable in two countries.
Euro area annual inflation remained stable at 0.2 % in July 2015. In July 2014 the rate was 0.4%.
European Union annual inflation was stable at 0.1% in July. A year earlier the rate was 0.5%.
In Greece, inflation fell by 1.3% from 1.1% in June.
The highest annual rates were recorded in Malta (1.2%), Austria (1.1%) and Belgium (0.9%).
