Industrial production increased in May

Industrial production in Cyprus recorded an increase in May 2015, according to Eurostat data released today.

According to the figures, industrial production recorded an increase of 3.5% compared to May 2014. In April 2015, an increase of 4.3% was registered.

In Greece, production fell by 4.6% in May 2015 against an increase of 0.4% in April.

In the EU, production rose by 2% compared with May 2014. An increase of 1.6% was registered in the euro area.

Eurostat publishes data for June 2015 as well, but they are not available for Cyprus. Industrial production increased by 1.7% in the EU while in the euro area it rose by 1.2%.

In Greece, production decreased by 4.6% during the sixth month of 2015.
