EDEK wants the national carrier to be saved and it will support any strategic plan for its restructuring, EDEK MP, Nicos Nicolaides stated after his meeting with Executive Chairman of Cyprus Airways, Giorgos Mavrokostas.
Mr. Nicolaides said that EDEK will examine seriously the proposals and the restructuring plan. “In this critical period, the Company must take tremendous decision in the next few weeks”, he stressed.
“EDEK wouldn’t like to see Cyprus Airways having the same luck as Eurocypria, therefore, it will insist so that all margins are exhausted and Cyprus Airways be able to survive under certain conditions and measures that must be taken”, he concluded.
