No specific proposal for acquisition has been submitted to Cyprus Airways, the national carrier announced on Thursday.
With regard to today’s press reports on the expression of interest on behalf of Aeroflot and Middle East Airlines as well as Qatar in the acquisition of the Company and/or an investment in it, Cyprus Airways Public Ltd clarifies that no proposal has been raised either from the aforementioned alleged interested parties or any other potential investor.
Earlier, the CSE announced the suspension of trading of its share, after SEC’s proposal.
“The suspension will be effective until the release of a clarifying announcement on behalf of the company, in view of the uncertainty from statements and reports in the Press as to its economic condition and prospects”, the CSE announcement noted.
