20/12/2004 11:52
The Labour Ministry Conciliatory Service submitted on Monday a second revised proposal to the Cyprus Airways trade unions for the consolidation plan of the national carrier.

According to StockWatch sources, the structure and philosophy of the second revised proposal falls within the framework of the revised proposal submitted by the Labour Minister, Christos Taliadoros a month ago. The Conciliatory Service has made certain amendments concerning issues on which the five trade unions have expressed their disagreement.

Same sources reveal that these aspects concern additional compensation to the redundant staff, the flight schedule for the pilots and the flight attendants, the return flights and the Provident and Social Securities Fund.

The leaders of the five trade unions will have to state whether they accept the new proposal to the Conciliatory Service Manager, Charalambos Kolokotronis in the afternoon.

It is noted that the entire procedure for the acceptance or not of the second revised proposal for the consolidation of Cyprus Airways must be completed by Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the government has approved the payment of the 13th bonus salary, which will be carried out on Tuesday. The December salary will be paid on December 29 or 30.
