The European Union reportedly agrees with the UN proposal to hold an International Donor’s Conference soon, after the signing of a settlement in Cyprus.
“The European Commission is ready to organize the conference after the signing of the agreement. The issue of economic aid to Cyprus after the comprehensive settlement is of great significance and it entails strong political and material support from the community”, the EU noted in a statement. According to the CNA both the Greek Presidency in the Council as well Xavier Solana are to support the UN proposal.
