Cyprus police handed out fines to three individuals for not abiding with the measures in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.
A police spokesperson told CNA that 3,457 checks were carried out in the last 24 hours, as a result of which three individuals were reported.
In Nicosia police carried out 649 checks reporting one person, in Limassol 438 checks with no fines, 648 in Larnaka reporting one person, 500 in Pafos with one fine, 538 in Famagusta with no violations found, and 330 in Morfou also with no violations.
Meanwhile, the Traffic Department and Maritime Police carried out 354 and 189 checks respectively finding no violations.
