Police fined 12 individuals and two establishment owners in the last 24 hours for violation of COVID-19 measures across Cyprus.
A Police spokesperson told CNA on Friday that a total of 2.141 checks were carried out in the government-controlled areas in the last 24 hours with 1,007 checks in Nicosia and four individuals reported. In Limassol, after 193 checks four people and two shop owners were reported, in Larnaca and Morphou, no people were reported after 317 and 142 checks respectively while in Famagusta after 294 checks two people were fined.
In Paphos after 138 checks two people were fined.
The Traffic police carried out a total of 50 checks with no fines issued.
