Alliance International Reinsurance Public Company Limited announces that Messrs Mark Byrne, David Brown, Guy Swayne and Frederic Traimond have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors of Alliance International Reinsurance Public Company Limited (Alliance Re), effective 14 November, 2008. The Company will proceed with all necessary procedures with the competent authorities to obtain approval for the above appointments.
The Company also announces that Messrs John Harrison Howes, John Salaverry, Charles Catt, Karim Hemsi, Sofyan Khatib and Marios Eliades submitted their resignations from the Board of Directors due to the change of ownership status of the Company. The Company would like to thank all of the above for their cooperation and valuable contribution to the Company.
Messrs Khader Hemsi and Andreas Aloneftis have stepped down from their respective positions as Chairman and Executive Vice Chairman of the Company. The Board has elected Mr Marc Byrne as the new Chairman of the Board and Mr Khader Hemsi as its Deputy Chairman while Andreas Aloneftis will remain as a Board member.
