Four more companies join dematerialised system 24.9.01

The CSE Council, following its announcement of the 16 August 2001 concerning inclusion of titles into the Central Registry, announces the following.

As already announced, the CSE undertakes as of 24 September 2001, the title registers of the following listed issuers:

· Actibond Growth Fund Ltd
· Confine Investments Ltd
· Dome Investments Ltd
· Kostas Michaelides Contractors Ltd.

Between the 18-21 September 2001, investors can, through CSE members, submit applications for the opening of depository accounts (which is not required for existing shareholders of the above companies as the depository account is opened automatically with the taking over of the register, or from shareholders of the companies Jumbo, USB, CCCH which have already been introduced in the Central Registry on the 23 July 2001). Also at the same dates applications can be made for opening of trading accounts, enabling investors to carry out trading transactions for the above titles as of 24 September 2001 when re-commencement of trading of the four companies begins.

For his trading account, an investor will determine the CSE member (brokerage office) which will be authorised to carry out and complete brokerage transactions, as well as the particular titles and their maximum number for which the member determined will have the authority to trade.

In the event where a shareholder already has a trading account with the Central Registry, he will be able to provide access to the member if he so wishes for titles which concern the above titles using the relevant form.

The CSE has already issued and circulated a special booklet called "Central Title Registry - Investors Manual", in which the operation of the Central Registry is described, the types of trading accounts and all relevant procedures. Investors can get this manual either from CSE members or directly from the CSE offices.

It is noted that titles and binding confirmations of the above titles held issued up to today will be cancelled and will be void when the registries are taken up by the Central Registry.

For shareholders of the above titles whose names are registered at the time of the registry being taken up by the Central Registry, the CSE will forward a confirmation of the titles and their number which each registered shareholder holds as at that time. This confirmation-statement of depository account, will constitute the proof of ownership of the titles by an investor.
