Further, investors may apply for the opening of a trading account as of 19 February 2002 for all the above titles should he wish to carry out transactions.

For the trading account, investors must appoint a CSE member (brokerage office) who will be authorised to carry out brokerage transactions, as well as determine the particular titles and their maximum number which the Member determined will have the ability to carry out transactions for.

In the event where shareholders already have a trading account on the Central Register, access can be given to a member concerning the above titles, through a relevant form.

The CSE has issued a relevant handbook entitled “Central Register – Investors Manual” which describes the operation of the Central Register, the types of trading accounts and all relevant procedures. Investors can obtain the handbook either from CSE Members or from offices of the CSE.

It is noted that titles and binding confirmations concerning the above titles issued up to date will be cancelled when their registers are taken up by the Central Register. To shareholders whose names are registered at the time of taking up of the aforementioned registers by the Central Register, will be sent by the CSE a confirmation of the titles and their number held as at that date. This confirmation-depository statement will constitute the only proof of ownership of shares by investors.
