Sharelink Re. Kyknos Offer

Sharelink Financial Services Ltd. announced the following today, 22 February 2001:

1. On the 29 January 2001, the CSE Council and the Securities & Exchange Commission through a joint statement invited effected shareholders of Kyknos Portfolio Investment Co. Ltd. to “express to Sharelink Financial Services Ltd., their intentions as to whether they accept the offer as was automatically reviewed prior to the expiry date for its acceptance which was the 2 February 2001”.

2. SFS did not receive up until the 2 February 2001 Acceptance Documents in order to secure a minimum of 30% (percentage by which the offer would be considered successful) of issued shares of Kyknos.

3. Therefore the aforementioned condition which the CSE Council approved and to which the public offer was subject to was not implemented and thus the public offer is void and can not be implemented.

4. SFS notes that the above are applicable only in the event where it is decided that its offer has not been revoked after the public offer by Era Portfolio Investments Ltd. and/or has not been cancelled after having been rejected by the Extraordinary General Meeting of SFS of resolutions referred to in the public offer document.
