Total registrations of motor vehicles increased by 32.4% to 22.250 between January and August.
According to figures released by the Statistical Service on Wednesday, the total registrations of motor vehicles rose to 22.250, from 16.799 in the corresponding period of 2015.
The Statistical Service said that the registrations of passenger saloon cars increased by 31.2% to 18.399, from 14.026 in the first eight months of the year.
