Private saloon car sales recorded an increase in January 2015.
According to Cystat data released on Friday, private saloon cars rose by 10.2% to 1.729 in January 2015 compared to 1.569 in January 2014.
Based on the same figures, new saloon car registrations rose by 11.4% to 1025 from 920 in January 2014.
Similarly, used car registrations increased by 6.8% to 1022 from 957 in the corresponding month of 2014.
The total registrations of motor vehicles increased by 8.5% to 2.047 compared with 1.877 in January 2014.
In 2014, private saloon registrations went up after a five-year slump.
Total private saloon cars rose by 25% to 17.099 compared with 13.679 in 2013.
