Saloon registrations at -20%

Car sales are still hit by the financial crisis.

According to Cystat official data released today, total private saloon car registrations in April 2012 declined 20% to 1,701 from 2,126 in the corresponding month of 2011.

This is the 16th consecutive month that registrations go down.

New car registrations for the same month dropped 7% to 977 from 1,051 in April 2011.

Similarly, used car registrations tumbled 32.7% to 724 from 1,075 in April 2011.

Private Saloon cars decreased to 7.223 from 9.389 in January – April 2011, i.e. there was a decrease of 23,1%.
