Trade turnover of motor vehicles up by 7.4% in first half of 2018

The turnover value index of wholesale and retail trade and repair of vehicles was up by 7.4% in the first six months of this year on an annual basis, while the turnover value index of other wholesale trade was up by 6.3%, data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service, on Monday, show.

According to the official data the turnover value index of wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles for the period April-June 2018 was up by 6.0% to 129.4 units (base 2015=100), compared to 122.1 units in the same period of 2017.

For the period January - June 2018, the index recorded an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period of last year.

At the same time the turnover value index of wholesale trade except of motor vehicles for the period April - June 2018 increased by 7.2% to 122.7 units (base 2015=100), compared to 114.5 units during the same period of 2017.

During the period January - June 2018, the index recorded an increase of 6.3% compared to the same period of 2017.
