Cyprus and Ukraine sign Protocol aiming to further boost ties

Cyprus and Ukraine on Thursday signed a Protocol aiming to further enhance their bilateral ties in various fields, a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance has said.

The Protocol was signed by Cyprus Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides and his Ukrainian counterpart, Sergii Marchenko, following a meeting of the 2nd session of the Cyprus – Ukrainian Intergovernmental Committee on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Industrial Cooperation.

According to the Cyprus FinMin, the Protocol aims to further enhance the ties and cooperation between the two countries in fields such as the economy, trade, tourism, energy, transport, health and education.
 
Speaking after the signing of the Protocol, Petrides referred to the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and expressed satisfaction over the good will spirit shown in the works of the meeting.
 
The Protocol signed today will contribute to the further strengthening of the relations between the two countries, he added.
 
During the talks, both sides affirmed the potential for the further strengthening of cooperation on current and new sectors such as energy, health and agriculture,
 
The meeting also stressed the favourable conditions for increasing trade transactions and the strengthening of the collaboration in issues of investments, tourism and transport, the press release added.
