House Speaker received outgoing Israeli Ambassador

House Speaker Annita Demetriou received on Monday the outgoing Israeli Ambassador Shmuel Revel, with whom she discussed the bilateral relations, the trilateral agreements with countries in the region and common challenges.

An announcement issued by the Parliament says that they both referred to the bilateral ties on the basis of common principles and values and the geographical proximity of the two countries.

The House President thanked the Ambassador for his essential contribution in further strengthening the dialogue and cooperation between the parliaments of Cyprus and Israel, as well as regards the bilateral and tripartite agreements between Cyprus, Greece and Israel.

They also discussed the need to continue and further strengthen this cooperation in areas of common interest and in enhancing the prospects of creating beneficial synergies within Europe and neighboring countries, on the basis of the the key role Cyprus can play to this end.
