Justice Minister, Doros Theodorou, said that the Cyprus government has taken increased security measures in ports and airports in the face of the
imminent American intervention in Iraq, despite the fact that the island is regarded as a secure country.
Cyprus Police Chief, Tasos Panayiotou, clarified that the increased Security measures concern the supervision of the sea boarders around the island,
which due to the restricted number of policemen will be covered by overtime employment.
