Russia ready to promote major joint projects with Cyprus, says Medvedev

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has said that his country is ready to further promote major joint projects with Cyprus in various sectors, in a new year’s message to Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades.
 
According to a Presidency press release on Thursday, Medvedev said that relations between Russia and Cyprus, which are based on the principles of trust and mutual respect, are developing steadily in all directions, adding that our cooperation in the sectors of economy, trade and investments, as well as culture, but also human ties, are expanding.
 
The business and public sectors of the two countries have strengthened their contacts, Medvedev added.
 
“We are ready to further promote major joint projects in various sectors. This fully responds to the long-term interests of both Russia and Cyprus” , he said.
