Finance Minister, Charilaos Stavrakis stated on Wednesday that the growth rate stood at 09% in 2010.

According to Cystat flash data released yesterday, GDP growth in the fourth quarter of 2010 rose by 2.2% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2009.

“I remind you that scaremongering on the anticipated course of our economy was on a rise in 2010. The Ministry anticipated a positive growth rate of 0.5%”, he said.

“We won’t rely on this positive performance. The global environment remains fragile, while the chronic problems of the economy, which for the first time and unlike the ordinary practice we try to solve, make our task more difficult and demanding”, he added.
