The three-day meeting before the House of Representatives to approve the State Budget 2004 will take place before the end of the year, while the budgets of all the semi-state organizations will be submitted before the Parliament by October 15, Chairman of the Finance Committee, Aristos Chrisostomou said on Wednesday.
Mr. Chrisostomou told CNA that the State Budget 2004 will be submitted on October 2 and Finance Minister, Marcos Kyprianou will give a speech on the budgets on October 16.
Mr. Chrisostomou noted that the Finance Committee “will start its intensive work in an effort to complete the examination of the budgets by November 15, so that the Secretariat of the Committee prepares its report on time”.
It is noted that on October 20 Mr. Kyprianou will attend the meeting of the Finance Committee to discuss and examine the state budget. The Committee will have regular meetings three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
