Finance Minister, Marcos Kyprianou said that the new system on the State Budget will be presented before the Cyprus President and the Council of Ministers, speaking at a press conference on Friday. Mr. Kyprianou is expected to have separate contacts with the Ministers as from Monday to discuss all the pending issues in view of the final form of the state budgets for 2004.
Mr. Kyprianou noted that the new single budget has been designed to restraint state expenditure and improve the economic sizes of the Cyprus economy. “For 2004, there will be a separate budget for the new job posts in the civil service, as all ministries have applied for an increase in posts due to the harmonization with the EU”, he concluded.
