21/07/2003 17:25
A new software system, presented today to the House Finance Committee for consideration, will simplify bureaucratic procedures, increase productivity and curb overspending in the public sector.

'The new system will help us meet European Union requirements with regard to domestic monitoring. It will be a tool for timely and reliable economic analysis and for taking the necessary measures where appropriate,' Finance Minister Markos Kyprianou told the House Committee.

As the CNA reports, the new software system will be implemented in two phases and on Thursday it will be presented to the Cabinet.
