Despite the fact that the Finance Minister, Marcos Kyprianou, refused to comment on the freezing of the state payroll proposed by the Council of Experts recently, the mention of the trade unions in his latest statements has much to say.
Responding on questions with regard to the report of the Council of Experts on the decline of the fiscal deficit and the freezing of the state payroll, Mr. Kyprianou said that this is a serious issue and reminded that the government will act in concert with the trade unions.
