Hannay: Denktash is stuck in the past

British former Special Representatives for Cyprus, Lord David Hannay, said that there is no sensible argument against allowing the European Union to offer its aid to the occupied areas of northern Cyprus.

As the CNA reports, Lord Hannay stressed that Rauf Denktash is stuck way back in history, which seems to stop quite a long time before the present. “I don’t think there is any sensible argument against allowing EU to help northern Cyprus to come closer to the EU. What is wrong with that?”, he concluded.
