Alpha Bank Cyprus Ltd was the Main Sponsor of the 9th Nicosia Economic Congress

Alpha Bank Cyprus Ltd was once again, the Main Sponsor of the Nicosia Economic Congress, which was successfully held on Thursday, April 18, 2019, in Nicosia. The Congress, one of the leading financial conferences in Cyprus which was organised for the ninth consecutive year, was designed to provide in-depth information on the latest economic trends and developments in Cyprus and the world.

During this year’s Conference, distinguished speakers from Cyprus and abroad analysed the current economic environment and shared their forecasts regarding the Cypriot economy and its prospects for 2020-2025, while issues concerning the markets’ course, the consequences of Brexit, the promotion of the Health Sector as a new platform for foreign investments, as well as the prospects of the tourism industry were thoroughly discussed.

The Leader of the Opposition at the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis honoured the Congress with his presence. Speakers included the Minister of Finance, Mr. Harris Georgiades and the Minister of Health, Mr. Constantinos Ioannou, while representatives of the business community, including many of the Bank’s Executives, Customers and Associates, further attended the Conference.
