Ahead of BidX1’s upcoming online auction on 28th September, the digital property company has introduced an innovative new service to assist buyers, the first of its kind in Cyprus.

The PropTech company, which brought online auctions to the Cypriot market in 2019, has today launched an interactive 360° virtual map of the island, allowing users to take a stunning bird’s eye view of Cyprus and to view the various BidX1 properties on offer in locations like Ayia Napa, Paralimni and Protaras.

Kritonas Onisiforou, Head of Property at BidX1 Cyprus, says that the company has introduced the service to enhance the property search process and simplify purchasing decisions for potential buyers. He noted:

“This is a first for the Cypriot market and we’re delighted to be piloting the service here. This simple but impressive tool provides a convenient visualisation of our properties across the island, essentially providing a virtual tour of our catalogue – starting from the sky!”

The virtual experience can be accessed in one easy click. Viewers can switch between locations by clicking on the drone icons, get overview details of each property as they move across the map, and also drop into each property to take a virtual tour.

“We are always looking for new ways to improve the experience of buying or selling property, at every stage of the process,” Onisiforou noted. “This mobile-friendly tool allows users to inspect properties from wherever they are, at any time. It’s another example of how technology is changing the game, and we’re delighted to be at the forefront of that in Cyprus.”

BidX1 was established in Ireland in 2011 and launched operations in Cyprus in 2019. The company has developed a digital platform which allows buyers to browse investment opportunities in five markets – Ireland, UK, Cyprus, Spain & South Africa – and to complete the full transaction online.
