Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Forecasting Event: Top names give their views and projections on the economy and markets

The new landscape in the investment world and NPLs on the agenda - with speakers from EFG and NatWest Markets.

Leading figures from the financial sector of Cyprus and from abroad will participate in the 14th annual CFA Forecasting Event organised by CFA Society Cyprus at the Royal Hall on 26 April.

Each year, the annual CFA Forecasting Event brings Cyprus’ financial community together to discuss the latest forecasts on the global and local markets. This year, CFA Society Cyprus will be represented at the highest level by President and CEO of the CFA Institute, Mr Paul Smith, CFA, who will speak on “The future of Finance and the new landscape in the investment world”. Paul Smith has headed the CFA Institute since 2015. He has more than 30 years of professional experience in important management positions in the financial sector in Europe, Asia and the United States, having worked among others at Ermitage International, HSBC and Pricewaterhouse. The Asian magazine “Asian Investor” listed him among the 25 most influential people in Asian Hedge Funds while he remains a member of the executive committee of the Alternative Investment Management Association of Hong Kong.

Moreover, Mr Steven Lizars, Head of Content and Advisory Group at Natwest Markets, will focus on the management of Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) while Mr Daniel Murray, CFA, Deputy CIO and Global Head of Research at EFG Asset Management, will speak on the global economic and investment outlook. Deputy Minister of Shipping Mrs Natasa Pilides will address the event on behalf of the government.
