CIFA organising first International Funds Summit in Cyprus

New investment opportunities, changes to the regulatory framework and the emerging sector of collective investments on the table

The Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA), within the framework of its efforts to promote Cyprus as an attractive destination for the registration and management of funds, is organising the International Funds Summit on “Bridging the gap between Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia”. The first conference of its kind in Cyprus, it will be held in Limassol from 29 to 31 May.

The aim of the conference, which is being held under the auspices of the President of the Republic and the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA), is to inform local and international investors about developments in the current regulatory framework, the latest world trends and opportunities as well as Cyprus’ advantages as an investment fund centre.

The conference will host distinguished speakers from Cyprus and abroad. They include Finance Minister Harris Georgiades, Bank of Cyprus CEO John Hourican and Director General of EFAMA (European Fund and Asset Management Association) Peter De Proft who will analyse the current challenges facing the asset management sector worldwide.
