The Economic Policy Forum will be organised by AKEL on February 14-15 at the ‘Filoxenia’ Conference Centre in Nicosia and will focus on the Cyprus economy’s challenges and prospects over the next decade.
Distinguished speakers from Cyprus and abroad will take part, while government officials, politicians, diplomats, as well as leaders of businesses, organizations and economic agencies will be present.
The initial topic of the Forum will focus on the Cyprus economy and its development model over the next decade, from 2020 to 2030, reviewing prevailing trends and phenomena and bearing in mind that while total output is at its highest point, the absence of a comprehensive development strategy raises concern over the future and sustains business risks and inequalities for workers and society at large.
The topic will be analyzed via a panel discussion and the speakers will be Constantinos Herodotou,Governor of the Cyprus Central, Takis Klerides Head of the Cyprus Economy and Competitiveness Council, and Leslie Manisonindependent economist. Coordinator of the panel discussion will be Yiannis Antoniou, Journalist at Phileleftheros.
