DP World Limassol awarded at the CIPA International Investment Awards 2018

DP World Limassol, recognised for its positive impact to the Cypriot economy through its’ investments in Limassol port, was awarded the International Investment Award from the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA), during the 7th Invest Cyprus CIPA Awards.

The prestigious annual event honors international investors, individuals and companies that have invested in Cyprus and have substantially contributed to the economy as well as helped to establish the country as an international business center.

DP World Limassol’s General Manager, Charles Meaby, received the award during a ceremony held at Hilton Park Hotelon Tuesday, 19 June 2018. The event, which was held under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, was attended by the President, government ministers, foreign investors, business leaders and several distinguished personalities of the business and political world of Cyprus.

During the event, Mr. Meaby thanked Invest Cyprus for selecting DP World Limassol and stated: “We are delighted to receive this award. To be recognised for our contribution in the Cypriot economy is a great honour for our team. It also constitutes a recognition to the dedicated efforts of our people at DP World Limassol in delivering excellent service and ensure customer satisfaction. We have managed to build a solid foundation since taking over operations at Limassol port and we are committed to continue making improvements that will stimulate sustainable growth while working towards establishing Cyprus as a key regional player”.

Mr. Meaby said that it is part of the Group’s legacy to infuse innovation throughout its operations and highlighted that DP World Limassol’s continuous investment in all areas of the port opens up new opportunities for the Cypriot economy. “We aim at developing high-quality trade-enabling solutions which will benefit the local and national economy, as well as the local community”, he added.
