Electronic Money and Payment Institutions launch professional association

ECOMMBX is proud to announce the establishment of the Association of Cyprus Electronic Money and Payment Institutions (ACEMPI), with a number of the company’s management team members among the new Association’s leadership.

The role of the ACEMPI is to promote and develop the electronic money sector in Cyprus and to reinforce cooperation among all stakeholders.

In addition to supporting the successful development of the sector by examining and analyzing all industry related matters and their impact on the institutions individually and collectively, the ACEMPI will focus on protecting and representing its members’ rights and professional interests.

Membership of the new Association is open to all Electronic Money Institutions & Payment Institutions licensed by the Central Bank of Cyprus to operate in Cyprus.

During the founding convention of the ACEMPI, the following ECOMMBX management team members were elected to key positions on the General Committee:

Chairman: Ioannis Georgoulas, a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of TFI Markets Ltd, Former Member of the Board of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, Certified Corporate Governance Director for banks by INSEAD and Banking by the Chartered Banker Institute.

Vice President: Gregory Dellas, ECOMMBX Chief Compliance and Innovation Officer

Treasurer: Fotini Tsikkou, ECOMMPAY Chief Operations Officer   

Member: Michael Charalambides, SIBILLA Solutions Non-Executive Director
