Emirates Airline Appoints New Country Manager for Cyprus

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has appointed Mr. Mohammed Al Qassim as the new Country Manager for Cyprus following a successful term where he served as Commercial Support Manager in Thailand.

Mr. Al Qassim started his career in the aviation industry when he joined Emirates in 2016, as part of the airline’s UAE National Commercial Trainee Management Program, which inducts trainees in the commercial operations of Emirates.

Following his training in Amman, Jordan, he was appointed as Commercial Support Manager in Bangkok. Prior to joining Emirates, Mr. Al Qassim worked for three years in the banking sector in Dubai, where he was specialized in risk management and VIP account management.

“It is a privilege for me to represent Emirates in Cyprus. Not only is it a country with a prominent geographical position, but it offers enormous potential for further growth of our services. Along with my team, I’m looking forward to this new opportunity in this exciting destination”, said Mr. Al Qassim.

In his new position, Mr. Al Qassim, will be responsible for managing the commercial and operational aspects of Emirates’ business in Cyprus, overseeing the sales and service functions to the airline’s passenger, cargo and airport operations. Mr. Al Qassim is a Business Administration - Logistics and Supply Chain Management degree holder.

Emirates currently operates a daily direct flight from Larnaka International Airport to Dubai with Boeing 777-300 ER aircrafts. Through its Dubai hub, Emirates offers Cypriot travelers connections to an extensive global network covering 158 destinations in 85 countries in the Middle East, Far East, Australia, Africa, Europe, the United States and Indian subcontinent.
