European University Cyprus paper awarded first place in World Physiotherapy Congress 2021

The research work of Lecturer of the School of Health Sciences of European University Cyprus (EUC), Dr. Christos Karagiannis, was awarded best European Poster Presentation at the 2021 World Physiotherapy Congress organized by the official World Confederation of Physiotherapists. Dr. Karagiannis is himself a graduate of European University Cyprus where he completed his PhD in "Investigating the effectiveness of upper limbs exercise in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease".

The paper also mentions as collaborators his colleagues at EUC, Professor Theodoros Xanthos, Dr. Panagiotis Rentzias, Mr. George Ploutarchou and Dr. Christos Savvas.

The Rector of the University, Professor Kostas Gouliamos, expressed his warm congratulations for this important distinction, stating that "the success of our colleagues makes us proud, demonstrating and concretely proving that the excellence of our academic staff is rewarded internationally".
