PwC’s partners expressed their thanks and appreciation for his ten year contribution at the helm of the organisation

PwC Cyprus’ partners honoured Evgenios Evgeniou for his decade-long contribution as CEO of the organisation, in a simple and modest event due to the exceptional circumstances created by the pandemic. The event was held at the PwC Cyprus offices in Nicosia on Wednesday, 22 December 2021. It is noted that on 31 December 2021, Mr Evgeniou will be completing after 10 successful years, two terms as the CEO of the organisation – the maximum number of times that a CEO at PwC can be elected.

Philippos Soseilos, who will be taking over as CEO of PwC Cyprus on 1 January 2022, thanked Mr Evgeniou on behalf of the organisation’s partners and people, highlighting his significant contribution to the organisation’s achievements over the past decade. Mr Soseilos stressed that: “Mr Evgeniou took over the reins of the organisation at a particularly difficult time, while throughout the years, he handled a series of challenges and changes with absolute success.” Mr Soseilos assured that PwC Cyprus will remain on a successful trajectory, and faithful to its purpose of building trust in society and solving important problems.

On his part, Mr Evgeniou thanked everyone for the good cooperation throughout his ten-year term at the helm of the organisation, as well as throughout his 31 years at PwC. He also said that he will continue to support the organisation and its people, expressing his conviction that PwC Cyprus will continue to help create conditions of economic prosperity for the country. Mr Evgeniou said he is incredibly satisfied and proud of the organisation’s achievements throughout his ten-year term: “Over the past decade, despite the challenging conditions, our organisation grew twice as fast as the country’s economy. During the course of this decade, the organisation managed to establish its leading position in the market, while at the same time developing a new range of services and evolving into the dynamic and innovative organisation that it is today.”
