Harris Kyriakides announces three new partners, effective September 1, 2021. The new partners are Andrea Newton, Eleni Neoptolemou and Ioanna Leonidou.

Andrea Newton is a member of the Real Estate, Commercial and Employment law Department at Harris Kyriakides. She specialises in sales/purchases and leases of immovable property, the sale and purchase of shares of special purpose vehicles (SPVs), the setting up of joint ventures and other corporate structures, intercompany asset disputes, the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts as well as commercial contracts such as international license agreements, service and franchise agreements amongst others. Andrea advises on large scale development projects and especially in the fields of tourism, food service and retail. She also has significant experience in the energy and maritime sectors as she previously worked for an international oil and gas company. She is a graduate of the University of Birmingham and a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2018.

Eleni Neoptolemou is the head of Commercial Litigation Department at Harris Kyriakides. She specialises in energy (oil and gas), administrative law, public procurement, drafting of contracts and agreements and personal data protection. She has experience in handling court cases of various jurisdictions, as well as handling cases before the Tender Review Authority, the Registrar of Trademarks and other authorities. She provides legal opinions regarding the above sectors, contractual and corporate matters, M&A transactions and intellectual property rights. She has been appointed as Data Protection Officer by various legal entities under public law and private clients. Eleni is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, has an LLM from University of Central Lancashire of Cyprus and she is a member of Cyprus Bar Association since 2016.

Ioanna Leonidou is a member of the Insurance Law and Personal Injury Department at Harris Kyriakides. She specialises in drivers’ negligence, medical negligence, employers’ and public liability and breach of insurance policies. She has experience in handling court cases of both civil and criminal jurisprudence and has represented and advised both claimants and defendants in a wide range of insurance disputes and multi-injury claims. She also provides legal opinions on insurance related matters, alternative dispute resolution and insurance policies. Ioanna is a graduate of the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2015 and has been a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2016.
