KPMG and CIM offer 2 scholarships

The pandemic challenge tests the ability of the state to cope with the new environment of economic uncertainty and unknown duration. In their efforts towards alleviating the implications of Covid-19, local businesses and other social stakeholders undertake specific corporate social responsibility initiatives entailing beneficial results for the society as a whole.

Within the framework of their strategic partnership and in response to the emerging needs of the society, KPMG in Cyprus and the Cyprus Institute of Marketing – The Cyprus Business School (CIM) offer for second consecutive year the opportunity to two professional or non-professional university students to acquire an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree. In particular, two scholarships are offered in MBA Shipping and BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programmes as follows:

  • 1 full scholarship worth €7.700, for the postgraduate programme MBA Shipping (14 Months FT/24 Months PT). The programme is available in Limassol.
  • 1 full scholarship worth €6.500,for Year 1 of programmeof the University of West London, BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance (3 Years). The programme is offered in Nicosia and/or in Limassol.

CIM excels in the local academia for over 42 years and is considered to be one of the most prominent educational institutions in the island for management studies. The two programmes are taught in English and are delivered in evening classes. The programmes are accredited by SEKAP/KYSATS. Based on economic criteria, the successful candidatesmay also receive state sponsorship. Eligible applicants will be invited to an interview. Employees or family members of KPMG and CIM employees are excluded from the procedure. Scholarships shall notbe redeemed in cash or transferred to any other person.

The scholarships offered are part of a series of initiatives implemented by KPMG in Cyprus which fall under its corporate social responsibility framework. KPMG in Cyprus will continue to be at the forefront of promoting knowledge but also strengthening the synergies between businesses and the research community.
