New distinctions for PwC trainee accountants

PwC Cyprus’ trainee accountants have once again achieved significant distinctions in the 2018 examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

The trainees were honoured for their achievements by PwC Cyprus, at a special event, which took place on Tuesday, 4 June 2019, in the presence of PwC Cyprus CEO Mr Evgenios C Evgeniou and the Head of People Mr Philippos C Soseilos.

PwC Cyprus CEO Evgenios C Evgeniou congratulated the trainees and highlighted that their distinctions reaffirm PwC's long tradition of high performancein the examinations. "PwC Cyprus offers its people a high level of training and education, giving them the necessary skills to make the most of their capabilities and talents," he said.

More specifically, PwC’s trainee accountants achieved the following Awards:

Christos Makrides, a graduate of the University of Cyprus, achieved First Place in Cyprus (5th worldwide), in paper Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA), in December 2018 examinations.

Dionysios Soteriou, a graduate of the Sheffield University, achieved First Place amongst the top 3 Affiliates in Cyprus in September 2018 examinations.

Xenofon Mitsakos, a graduate of the Economic University of Athens, achieved Second Place amongst the top 3 Affiliates in Cyprus in March 2018 examinations.

Yevheniia Deniak, a graduate of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev, achieved First Place in Cyprus (16th worldwide) in paper Financial Reporting (FR), and First Place in Cyprus (15th worldwide) in paper Performance Management (PM),in December 2018 examinations.
