PwC Cyprus’ Annual Meeting: The results and strategy for the future

PwC Cyprus presented its financial results for 2021 and its strategy for the future, during its annual meeting, which was held on Friday, 24 September in Limassol. The organisation’s net revenue for the financial year that ended June 2021, stood at €80m, while its contribution to government revenue amounted to €29.7m.

The conference was attended physically by 160 top executives from the organisation and PwC’s international network, while this year all other members of PwC Cyprus were able to watch the meeting on live stream. Video addresses were made by Bob Moritz, Global Chairman of PwC and Kevin Ellis, Chairman & Senior Partner of PwC UK and EMEA Cluster Leader.

Matthew Syed, Author and highly acclaimed speaker in the field of high performance also participated in the conference. A panel discussion was also held in the context of the conference, focusing on the fundamental changes taking place around the world, the latest developments in the various areas relevant to PwC’s activity, as well as PwC's new global strategy, "The New Equation", which focuses on building trust and delivering sustained outcomes. The panel participants included Hani Ashkar, Senior Partner at PwC Middle East and Marios Psaltis, Managing Partner at PwC Greece and PwC Cyprus’ CEO Evgenios Evgeniou.

In his speech, Mr Evgeniou, who this year completes a ten-year term at the helm of PwC Cyprus, expressed his satisfaction as it comes to the organisation’s positive trajectory, stressing that this is the product of a collective effort and the organisation's strategy to build client relationships based on trust  and to invest in its people as well as in the digital transformation of its operations. "Through the actions and experience of our people, we support our clients as well as entrepreneurship and society in general, in order to help build a better future for all," he stressed.

As part of its objective to further reinforce and develop its services, PwC Cyprus announced the admission of Andreas Andronicou and Martha Lambrou as Partners in Tax services from 1 January 2021 and George Ioannou as a Partner in Assurance Services from 1 July 2021. In addition, 163 new recruits, including 119 University graduates, have joined the organisation during FY21.
