PwC Cyprus held a series of virtual presentations, between 9 and 19 November 2020, on career opportunities for students currently studying in the United Kingdom as well as students of the University of Cyprus. Having the participants’ health and safety, as top priority, this year’s presentations were delivered virtually, utilising the strong technological infrastructure of the organisation.

Cypriot students attending various fields of study in more than 20 universities including the University of Cyprus, Cambridge, Imperial College, Warwick, LSE, Edinburgh, Leeds, Nottingham, Bath and Bristol, were given the opportunity to learn about PwC’s summer programmes, ACA/ACCA/CFA professional training schemes and other graduate career opportunities.

In addition, students were informed about the "Everyday Flexibility" framework, the technologies used at PwC, the "Digital Upskilling" programmes, the "Be Well, Work Well" initiative and many more.

Regarding the organisation’s recruitment initiatives, Anna Loizou, Head of People at PwC, highlighted that “despite the challenges and unprecedented conditions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, attracting new talent and investing in their professional development continues to be top priority for our organisation. Through the various professional development and upskilling programmes, we provide the opportunity to young people to develop into the leaders of tomorrow”.

During the financial year that ended on 30 June 2020, PwC recruited more than 200 new professionals, out of which 150 are young university graduates. PwC is also one of the few organisations worldwide to hold the highly prestigious ‘Investors in People Platinum’ Accreditation which recognises PwC’s Human Capital practices.
