PwC holds conference on Russian companies in Cyprus

The conference covered several issues facing companies today

The important issues and challenges facing Russian companies currently operating in our country as well as those that wish to expand their operations to Cyprus, was the main focus of a conference held by PwC Cyprus on Wednesday, 24 November, in Limassol. More than 100 senior executives of Russian companies attended the conference entitled "Cyprus, Russia & beyond”, in person.

During the conference, PwC professionals analysed a wide range of issues that concern companies today, including tax updates, technological advancements and cybersecurity, ESG (Environment, Society, Governance), as well as inclusion and diversity. In addition, presentations were made on how the organisation supports its clients through advisory services, with a view to effectively address the issues of succession planning. They also went into detail about the organisation’s investment services, recognising the growing need for high-quality services in this field.

The conference was addressed by the CEO of PwC Cyprus and President of the Cyprus-Russian Business Association Mr Evgenios Evgeniou and PwC’s Partner and Head of International Private Clients, Mr Nicos Chimarides.

In statements, Mr Chimarides highlighted the contribution of Russian businesses and their investments to the Cyprus economy. "Following a turbulent period, Cyprus-Russia business relations have entered a new, dynamic era. As an organisation, we are here to support companies to successfully move forward and face the future, thereby helping strengthen our economy".
