Recovery of BOC Clients Funds after the suspension of COBALT’S operations

07/12/2018 13:37

Bank of Cyprus continues to receive claims related to card payments by its clients to Cobalt, before the airline suspended its operations.

BoC clients who have made such payments and have not submitted a claim to the Bank, as yet, are advised to do so as soon as possible.

Submitting the claims in time, allows the Bank to recover the funds paid to Cobalt within the timelines set by card issuers Visa/MasterCard/Amex.

Bank of Cyprus has already received thousands of claims related to credit card payments by its clients to Cobalt. The Bank has already settled over 12.000 card transactions of its clients and the money has been credited to the beneficiaries’ accounts.

The process of recovering money from such claims takes time. Nevertheless, the Bank is confident of a full recovery. Beneficiaries will find the funds credited to their accounts by the end of December 2018.

Once recovered and credited to their accounts, beneficiaries will receive a text message on their mobile phones confirming the transaction.

Bank of Cyprus will keep its clients informed of any new development.
