TUS officially launches its direct flights to Ioannina

The Cyprus-based TUS Airways: "The Ultimate Schedule" officially launched, on Friday the 16^th of February, its new route from Larnaca to Ioannina. The new route connects Cyprus with the Capital of Epirus via a direct flight for the first time and is the latest addition to the airline’s continuously growing list of offered destinations.

This milestone was celebrated in a short ribbon cut ceremony held before the first flight, at the International Larnaca Airport. In addition, upon arriving at Ioannina's King Pyrrhus Airport, the passengers of the inaugural flight were welcomed by the Governor of the Epirus Region - Alexandros Kahrimanis, the Mayor of the city -Thomas Peggas and other important officials who greeted them in festive ceremony with traditional music, dance, delicacies and drinks of the region. 

Offering two weekly flights, on Monday and Friday, TUS Airways will be providing Cypriot travellers with the most effortless and comfortable way to visit the magical capital of Epirus. Visitors will be able to explore the beautiful city of Ioannina and the alluring Epirus Region, renowned for its rich history, unique character and beautiful natural environment, enjoying the excellent travelling experience of highly convenient flight times, supreme comfort and expert service that TUS Airways is offering. 

The flights to and from Ioannina will be operated by the Fokker 100/70 jets that was just recently added to TUS’ growing fleet. The Fokker produced by the Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker, offers travellers maximum comfort and spacious leg room while allowing fast boarding of flights.

The Fokker jets are highly regarded as efficient, reliable and fast aircrafts, and aside from TUS Airways, it is an aircraft of choice and indispensable part of the fleet of prestigious airlines.

TUS Airways has recently announced the commencementof new direct flights from Larnaca to Rome and Athensin December 2017, as well as the launch of direct flights to Thessaloniki and Alexandroupoli on the end of March 2018.
