Beer deliveries from Cyprus factories plunge amid COVID-19 lockdown

Beer deliveries from factories in Cyprus in March and April plunged, as a result of the restrictive measures imposed to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Βeer deliveries in March 2020 decreased by 26% compared to March 2019, while in April 2020 deliveries decreased by 64% compared to April 2020.

According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus, total beer deliveries from factories in March fell to 1.9 million liters compared to 2.6 million liters in the corresponding month of 2019.

Beer deliveries in April fell to 1.2 million liters, compared to 3.3 million liters in the corresponding month of 2019.

From the beginning of the year, beer deliveries amounted to 6.5 million liters compared to 9 million liters in the corresponding period of 2020.
