Wholesale trade increased yearly by 33.4% for Q2 2022

The Turnover Value Index of Wholesale Trade (Division 46) during the second quarter of 2022 recorded an increase of 33.4% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, according to data published by the Statistical Service on Thursday.

For the first half of 2022, wholesale trade increased by 30.8%, compared to the first six months of 2021.

Furthermore, the Turnover Value Index of Sales and Repair of Motor Vehicles (Division 45) recorded an increase of 12.7% for the second quarter of 2022, compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

More specifically, the largest increase was noted in the sale, maintenance and repair of motorcycles and related parts and accessories by 20%, while the sale of motor vehicles increased by 9.3%.

For the first half of 2022, sales and repair of motor vehicles increased by 16.2%, in comparison to the same period of 2021, with the largest increase detected in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, by 17.3%.
