Deputy Minister for Shipping Natasa Pilidies accompanied by the Ministry’s officials is visiting Shanghai and Tokyo as part of the efforts to promote the Cypriot registry and in general Cyprus as a shipping services hub.
A press release issued by the Deputy Ministry writes that Pilides will address the 4th Annual International Shipping Forum organized by Capital Link.
Pilidou will also travel to Tokyo, Japan, where she will participate as a speaker to Capital Link Maritime Forum, while she will participate in a working lunch hosted by Invest Cyprus, the island’s Investment Promotion Agency, aiming to promote Cyprus as an investment destination.
During her stay in Asia, Pilides will hold meetings with corporations based in Shanghai and Tokyo with the view to promoting the Cypriot flag and Cyprus as a significant shipping centre as well as a base for shipping companies.
The Cypriot delegation returns home on May 14.
